The Venture Division of MHBC focuses on developing practical solutions to healthcare challenges. Members work together to address critical issues, utilizing their skills and creativity to find effective approaches. The division explores opportunities for healthcare startups by collaborating with accelerators and participating in business challenges to support their success. Currently, MHBC is involved with four startups, including Milieu Symbiotics, which have secured thousands of dollars in seed funding and been accepted into healthcare accelerators at the Zell Lurie Institute at the Ross School of Business.

1. Pitch Your Idea
Have a healthcare problem you’re passionate about? Start by joining MHBC and submitting a challenge, concept, or early-stage solution you want to explore. We welcome everything from digital tools to nonprofit models; what matters most is your drive to innovate in healthcare.
2. Form a Team
Once accepted, you’ll join forces with a diverse group of students from across disciplines. Whether you're studying business, public health, pre-med, or engineering, MHBC matches you with teammates whose strengths complement yours and who are equally motivated to make an impact.
3. Develop Your Venture
With your team, you’ll build out your venture strategy step by step. You’ll define your target user, validate the need, test your model, and iterate. From business plans to wireframes or service designs, this phase is all about transforming ideas into action.
4. Showcase Your Work
At the end of the cycle, you’ll present your venture at our Demo Day. This is your chance to pitch your work to MHBC leadership, peers, and potential partners. Whether you want to launch it, expand it, or simply gain feedback, this is where your idea gets seen.
